Here's are portraits of all the main characters of my comic, Zodiac Fringe.

Hi! Here's some more Zodiac Fringe, my comic book in the works. Here's the first cover! Quickly summed up, the comic is about treasure hunters in space. Think Indiana Jones, but in space. Sort of. Anyway, my favourite comics as a kid were Carl Barks' and Don Rosa's disney comics, Tintin, Lucky Luke etc., so I decided to fuse my two favourite things: adventure comics and sci fi. I've been experimenting a lot with how to do this comic. Though it is a sci fi, it does have a 1930-40's flare as most of adventure franchises takes place during this era, so in addition to having designs that look like this time period, I'm trying to give the illustrations themselves a vintage look. This first cover is a mixed technique where I digitally coloured an inked gouache painting. I've moved away from this technique in later illustrations, but the same style and vintage flare is still there.
Anyway, the comic is still a while away, but it is starting to materialize.

Zodiac Fringe

This is another update on my comic. This is the logo, and consequently, the title of it. Why the heck it is called that I shall explain further when there is more details to reveal. Anyway, I also attached the work in progress to show how I eventually arrived at the final logo.

Plenty o comics stuff

Here's another post with some stuff for the comic I'm working on. As you'll notice, there is a new character here as well as a little redesign of an old one, Grimley. Actually, there is a fourth character on here too. Though, not completed, the cartoony style he is painted in will be close to the final style of the comic, as it'll fit for the story.

More of the same

Here's more of the same. I do have more drawings than this, like another character done, but I have not been able to scan them yet, so this is what I've got. I'm feeling that the little one on the right is more to my liking. I want it to be an adventurous comic, so I feel it needs to not be too realistically drawn for it to get the right feel that I want.

Vintage look

I am playing around some more. This time a sketch I colored. I think that my comic possibly might benefit from a more vintage look, so I'm trying different things to achieve that. This is one of them.

Two For the Price of None

Ahoy-hoy! Here we are with yet another blog post and we're continuing the trend of last post by uploading some sketches. This time TWO for the price of none. Enjoy. I'm still trying to catch up after S.P.A.C.E. but I will post a three part series next sunday. Just some humorous spots. Will they make you laugh, giggle, shead a tear, smile, nod in approval, indifferent, or flip the table in anger? Time will tell.
